Abbey Falls, Abbi Falls, or Abbe Falls is a Pleasant waterfall located in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, South India. It is located approximately  8 km from Madikeri, 122 km from Mysore,268 km from Bangalore, and 144 km from Mangalore.

Astonishing Surroundings of lush greenery, along with the 70 feet drop of the waterfall make it a more breathtaking view for tourists and photographers. Flora and coffee estate surround the Abbey Falls area.  That makes the place more pleasing and attractive for tourists. This waterfall joins river Kaveri as it’s one of Kaveri’s tributaries.

How to reach Abbey Falls – 

Abbey Falls is Located at a distance of 8 km from Madikeri, Abbey Falls can be reached by road from Madikeri. From Madikeri, the tourists/travelers need to go through Galibeedu road to reach the location, from where they will need to trek for 15-20 minutes (about 200 – 300 steps). One can either hire a cab or drive in their own vehicle with the help of Google Maps.

To Reach Madikeri, there are many modes of transportation from cities nearby.

By Road

If you are traveling by road, you can go with one of the many regular buses (private or KSRTC buses) from Bangalore, Mysore, and Mangalore.

By Train

If you are traveling by train, then you can get down at Bangalore, Mysore, or Mangalore railway station. From there, you can either hire a cab directly to Abbey Falls or take a bus to Madikeri. At Madikeri, you will find local transport or taxis to the waterfall.
