Whole wheat banana muffins are my favorite muffins. Just because it’s healthy, moist, and fluffy! One can make it however one wants to. Banana is a versatile ingredient. We can add many more ingredients to make it more delicious.
You know, you can make it with eggs or without eggs too! It’s all up to you. These muffins are so easy, flavourful, and satisfying. I am sure you gonna love it and will make it every week! Once I made it, and now family demands it every week!

Total time – 50-55 minutes

Servings – 12 muffins

Ingredients

Dry IngredientsWet Ingredients
Whole wheat flour – 1 ½ cups
Baking soda – 1 teaspoon
Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
Walnuts- ¼ cup
Coffee – 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon powder – ½ teaspoon
Salt – ½ teaspoon
Sugar/ brown sugar – ¼ cup or
Banana – 3 large
Eggs – 2
Oil- ¼ cup
Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon
honey/maple syrup – ½ cup. It’s up to you, whether to use sugar or honey.

Process Of Making Banana Walnut Muffins

  1. Start with mashing bananas in a bowl, when bananas are smoothly mashed. Add oil and sugar. Mix it until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In another bowl, sieve all the dry ingredients like whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine all the ingredients.
  3. Now you have two mixtures, the first is a liquid mixture and 2nd one is a dry mixture. Mix both the dry and liquid mixtures.
  4. Lastly, Add vanilla essence, walnuts, and choco chips and give it a good mix. But don’t over-mix the batter!
  5. Line the cupcake or muffin tray with parchment paper or with paper muffin cups. Grease it with butter or oil.
  6. Pour batter into the cups with the help of an ice cream scoop or ladle.
  7. Don’t fill more than 2/3 or ¾ of the muffin cup.
  8. Lastly, top it with more choco chips and chopped walnuts.
  9. Bake it at 180 degrees Celcius in preheated oven for 30 minutes. (Time may vary according to the brand of the oven)
  10. After 30 minutes, check by gently inserting the toothpick into the muffins. If it comes out clean it’s ready. If not cook it for another few minutes.
  11. keep it aside on a wired rack for a few minutes. once banana muffins are warm or cooled at room temperature.
  12. You can Serve warm whole-wheat banana muffins with coffee or tea!
